Terms of Employment: Session I and Session II of Summer School 2025 Responsible To: Summer School Principal and the Assistant Principal of Student Services Session I: June 3 - June 24 Session II July 7 - July 25 Hourly Rate Session I: $28.56 / hr Hourly Rate Session II: $29.13 / hr Location: Upper Campus Daily Schedule: 8:00 am - 12:30 pm; Mon - Fri Hours per Day: 4.5 hours per day Benefits: Not eligible for benefits or paid leave Temporary position for Summer School 2025. As such, the Summer School Nurse position is not guaranteed from year-to-year and interested applicants will need to reapply annually.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current Illinois Registered Nurse credentials Strong computer skills Candidate must be detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent time management skills Ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision Must respect the confidentiality of sensitive information Must possess the physical strength to occasionally assist in lifting students Must be able to bend and perform CPR as needed Responsibilities / Duties :

Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices Maintain student health records Facilitate student health assessments / screenings (hearing and vision) Complete medical reviews / health histories Accurately store and dispense medication Consult with teachers, parents, and other team members Write and maintain health plans and medical 504's Notify parents and building administrators regarding students who are severely ill or injured Lead professional development training to all staff as assigned (ie. Diabetes Training) Submit accurate and timely reports as required by various health agencies and the state Order and maintain all health supplies for the Nurse's Office Provide first aid to students and staff as needed Assume authority to provide emergency care for ill and injured students on school premises until emergency personnel arrive, under the supervision of the building administration Perform other duties as assigned Physical Requirements :

Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (involving the ability to stoop, bend, and reach as needed) Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting and as needed in noisy and crowded environments
