Hours: Second shift with a rotating schedule of Monday - Friday and Tuesday - Saturday Starting Wage: $15.00 per hour **Primary Responsibilities:** + Assist the Dispatch supervisor with managing tasks related to the scheduling and dispatching of aircraft and simulators and any dispatch operations-related responsibilities + Verify flight plans, review weather, track aircraft, maintain necessary records, and provide reports as needed + Communicate with students, flight instructors, and other operations staff on scheduling and dispatch needs and coordinate all related activities + Open and close the Babka Aviation Learning center and other UD facilities + Coordinate maintenance-related activities and squawking of aircraft with the aviation maintenance staff + Wing watch if needed and coordinate stacking of aircraft in hangars + Support the Director of Aviation Safety to ensure compliance with SMS requirements + Engage in life-long learning and scholarship opportunities to continuously enhance the Aviation Program and furtherance of the safety culture + Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's _Mission_ **Requirements:** + Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent + Capable of communicating effectively via radio with aircraft, orally, and writing + Exceptional skills using Microsoft Office and other computer software + Ability to pass an FAA/DOT drug test + Experience in dispatching or similar operations in an aviation or non-aviation environment is preferred + Valid US driver's license To apply with a growing faith based University for the **Aviation Dispatch Assistant** position, please submit a cover letter, resume, three professional references, and UD employment application, located on our website ( http://www.dbq.edu/AboutUD/Employment/Jobs/ ), to HR@dbq.edu or to the Director of Human Resources, at the University of Dubuque, 2000 University Avenue, Dubuque, IA 52001.
