Number of Beds: 20 Common Diagnosis/Treatment: 8 beds are CICU & 12 beds are Step-Down; CICU: Post-op CABG post-op AVR, MVR, post-op vascular and endovascular surgery, post cardiac interventional service including ECMO, heart failure requiring Impella device support, angioplasty and stent placement. PCU: Includes the above diagnoses plus sepsis, respiratory and multi-system failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, encephalopathy & post-op general surgical patients requiring a higher level of care. Equipment: Impella, Balloon pump and ECMO/Tandem Heart, Ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, sit to stand lifts, extensive amount of safe-patient handling equipment. EHR: Cerner Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric Hiring Profile: Must Have Skills/Experience: CCRN, open heart training preferred
