  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: 3 weekends per 6-week schedule block

  • Common Diagnosis/Treatment: 8 beds are CICU & 12 beds are Step-Down; CICU: Post-op CABG, post-op AVR, MVR, post-op vascular and endovascular surgery, post cardiac interventional service including ECMO, heart failure requiring Impella device support, angioplasty and stent placement. PCU: Includes the above diagnoses plus sepsis, respiratory and multi-system failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, encephalopathy & post-op general surgical patients requiring a higher level of care.
