Duties: Represent tribes, tribal entities, and tribal members in legal matters surrounding tribal sovereignty, gaming, and self-determination. Handle complex commercial and construction litigation. Participate in litigation activities, including trial preparation, depositions, hearings, and oral arguments. Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and briefs. Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies. Manage and coordinate various aspects of litigation, including working closely with clients and senior attorneys. Requirements: 3-5 years of litigation experience, with a focus on Federal Indian Law, litigation, and administrative law. Trial, deposition, hearing, and oral argument experience is preferred. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines. Strong writing and analytical skills, with the ability to draft legal documents and briefs. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Active membership in the State Bar is required. Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience in Federal Indian Law or interest in this practice area is highly preferred. Proficient in legal research and case management software. Ability to handle complex litigation matters with attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
