Position Purpose:

The IT Help Desk Technician provides essential technical support to our employees and ensures the smooth operation of our IT systems. The IT Help Desk Technician will play a critical role in day-to-day IT support requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining our technology infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background and excellent customer service skills who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Responsibilities/Duties •Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance, either in person, via phone, email, or ITSM Ticketing System. •Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues, escalating more complex issues as needed. •Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. •Install, configure, and maintain various hardware and software systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. •Assist with the setup, configuration, and support of network infrastructure, including switches, and wireless systems. •Manage IT tickets through the Help Desk system, ensuring timely resolution of issues while keeping employees informed of progress. •Document solutions and procedures to build a knowledge base for common issues. •Assist in the deployment of new software and hardware upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. •Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry trends and company technology needs. •Maintain inventory of IT assets, including computers, network devices, and other technology equipment.

Qualifications / Skills: •Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an IT support or Help Desk environment. •Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals. •Experience troubleshooting Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and network connectivity issues. •Familiarity with IT security protocols, data backup procedures, and disaster recovery techniques. •Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff. •Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. •Strong written and verbal communication skills. •Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: •High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required •Bachelor's degree in computer science or related is preferred •CompTIA A+ certification is a plus. •Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification is a plus. •Industry Experience is a plus

Additional Responsibilities: •Minor tasks and responsibilities include as assigned

Travel Required: •Occasional Travel of up-to 20% to other US based facilities for IT related support issues, training, etc.. may be required

Working Conditions •This role is based at our facility in Malvern, PA, supporting operations across the United States. •Occasional lifting and movement of IT equipment up to 50 pounds may be required. •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously. •The work environment may include both office settings and areas with industrial equipment. •May stand or sit for long periods of time. •Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights, and refrigerated warehouses. •Universal Pure facilities may process, pack and or store products containing allergenic food ingredients as referenced by FDA, occasional exposure may occur, inform your direct manager of any food allergies.
