Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to support our attorneys in drafting and managing estate planning documents. This role requires excellent organizational skills, client communication abilities, and a strong understanding of estate planning procedures, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and probate filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in drafting and reviewing estate planning documents , including wills, trusts, advance directives, and powers of attorney
  • Prepare probate and estate administration filings, including petitions, inventories, and accountings
  • Coordinate client meetings, maintain case files, and track important deadlines
  • Conduct legal research on estate planning laws and probate procedures
  • Gather and organize client information for estate planning and asset protection strategies
  • Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and courts regarding estate matters
  • Assist in trust funding, beneficiary designations, and asset transfers
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws regarding estate planning and probate processes
  • Maintain confidential client records and case management databases

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1 years of experience as an estate planning or probate paralegal preferred
  • Education: Associate’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent legal experience required
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning documents and probate procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal software, and document management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
  • Detail-oriented with strong research and problem-solving skills
  • Certifications: Certified Paralegal (CP) or Registered Paralegal (RP) preferred but not required
