Job Overview: The Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the assembly, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a variety of heavy machinery and equipment used in industries such as construction and manufacturing. This includes, but is not limited to, engines, pumps, forklifts, trailers, and other types of heavy equipment.
Primary Duties:
- Assemble key components, such as triplex pumps, fluid ends, boost pumps, diesel engines, and hydraulics, following technical drawings.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various heavy machinery.
- Log work details accurately in the company's ERP system.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Keep the work area organized, including tools and equipment, and ensure cleanliness and safety.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- At least 3 years of experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
- Ability to interpret service manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
