The Silver Lake Regional School District and Superintendency #31 district are seeking a certified Physical Therapist (PT) to work in the Extended School Year (ESY) programs. The PT must have professional certification in a relevant field. Key Responsibilities: PT's are part of a team of related service providers who support a student's ability to access his/her educational environment. They assist a student's physical participation in a variety of settings throughout the school day. The primary role of the school PT is to help students benefit from their educational program within the educational environment. Provide high quality Physical Therapy to students with identified disabilities Administer, interpret and develop reports on standardized evaluations and informal assessments Use data to develop written report on student progress toward IEP goals and objectives Use data and assessments to design challenging, measurable IEP goals and objectives Attend and participate in Team Meetings (annual, initial, 3-year re-evaluation, emergency) Collaborate with general education staff to monitor IEP implementation Support general education staff in their efforts to provide high quality instruction to students with disabilities (modeling effective strategies, providing tools and resources, etc.) Maintain ongoing communication with parents and general education staff Adhere strictly to timelines for the completion and submission of all required paperwork Collaborate with related service team members, building administrators, and other relevant personnel to strengthen tiered systems of supportAdditional Responsibilities: Ability to manage caseload of students through direct and consultative means Documentation of services in accordance with Medicaid guidelines and in the IEP Platform Always maintain a high degree of professionalism (attendance, punctuality, dress, demeanor, etc.) Perform other duties assigned by the Director of Student Services Note: Job share opportunities may be available and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.ESY Program Overview June 30, 2025 -July 31, 2025, Monday - Thursday ESY programs serve students aged 3-22 Days & times of services: Grades K-12+: Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm PreK: Students will have a two-day schedule of either Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday from 8:30 - 12:00 p.m. In addition to times outlined above, educators will be paid for an additional 90 minutes of planning time each day, which may occur on-site or off-site Data collection / progress monitoring collected weekly in regards to individualized education plans (IEPs) Compensation for this assignment will be $40 per hour.
