9 am - 2:30 pm

Extended School Year:

210 school days (including paid in-service days, holidays, and breaks!)

Student Population:

K-12+ (ages 6-21) with Autism

Special Education Teacher

with

Potential Inc. , you will play a vital role in creating individualized educational experiences for students diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities. You'll provide a supportive, nurturing environment where academic, behavioral, and life skills are prioritized, and you'll use the principles of

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

to help students achieve success.

We're looking for a compassionate, skilled educator who is eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.

You should:

Have experience teaching special education students with moderate to severe developmental disabilities (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities).

Have a

passionate and empathetic

approach to teaching and a strong desire to help students thrive.

Be able to build

positive, professional relationships

with students and their families.

Be flexible, adaptable, and open to feedback as you work to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Have the

perseverance

and

problem-solving skills

to face challenges with optimism and creativity.

Be comfortable

juggling multiple tasks

and adapting to an ever-changing school environment.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Special Education

required.

Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder

is a must.

ABA experience

is preferred, but we provide comprehensive training.

Active Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certificate

(Special Ed. PK-8 or PK-12 preferred as our student population grows to ages 6-21).
