The Ocala Metro Chamber & Economic Partnership ("the CEP")
is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit membership-based economic development and chamber organization with a mission to be the catalyst for a prosperous community. The CEP has a vision of being a model of excellence for a 21 st
century chamber. This begins by committing to work in partnership with those organizations that invest in the work of the CEP. Today, the CEP is supported by over 1,200 partner organizations in Ocala, Marion County and the surrounding central Florida region. Programs and services include: advocacy, networking events and forums, talent and workforce development, and business creation which includes incubators. The CEP’s economic development efforts of business retention and attraction are funded through private-sector investment and public dollars from the City of Ocala and Marion County. In addition, the CEP has a management services contract with the Lake Economic Area Development Partnership, a separate 501(c)(6) public-private economic development entity. With a FY 2025 budget of $4.4MM, 30+ full-time and contract staff, and active 35-member Board of Directors, the Ocala Metro Chamber & Economic Partnership was formed in 2011 by the merger of the local chamber and standalone economic development organization, thus providing a unified voice of business in the region. The organization’s impact and success are reflected in the CEP’s designation as Florida’s Chamber of the Year in 2018 and as the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives national Chamber of the Year in 2020, having been a finalist in both 2017 and 2019.
