Executive Director Position Summary The Events Director plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the Redmond Chamber of Commerce & CVB by creating and executing engaging, high-impact events that support local businesses, foster community connections, and drive economic growth. This position is ideal for a driven, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about creating opportunities that benefit the community and its businesses. The Events Director ensures each event is executed seamlessly while enhancing the Chamber’s reputation as a leader in business advocacy, networking, and economic development. Key Responsibilities: Event Planning and Execution:

Plan, organize, and execute a variety of Chamber events, including: Redmond Chamber Awards Banquet Central Oregon Business Expo & Job Fair Music on the Green Fourth of July Parade Redmond Brewfest & Night Glow Annual Golf Tournament Business Hop (twice a year) Trick or Treat on 6th St. Goblins & Ghouls Golf Tournament Giving Tree Ribbon Cuttings Monthly Business After Hours Weekly Coffee Clatter Lunch & Learn Ensure all events align with the Chamber’s mission to support local businesses and enhance community life. Develop event timelines, production schedules, and detailed project plans to ensure seamless execution and budget sustainability. Secure and manage vendor contracts for catering, AV services, and equipment rentals. Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify improvement opportunities.

Sponsorship Development and Relationship Management:

Develop and present sponsorship packages that demonstrate value and return on investment for local businesses. Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with sponsors and community partners. Track and fulfill sponsor deliverables, ensuring all agreements are met and sponsors are recognized.

Marketing and Promotions:

Collaborate with the Marketing Director to create promotional strategies for each event, including social media campaigns, email marketing, and website updates. Write and distribute event press releases and updates to the Chamber membership with the Executive Director. Leverage technology, such as event registration platforms and analytic tools, to streamline operations and enhance marketing effectiveness.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as a liaison between the Chamber, local businesses, and community organizations to strengthen partnerships. Coordinate the Chamber Ambassador Program and ensure ambassadors are effectively utilized at events. Represent the Chamber at community events, fostering goodwill and expanding outreach efforts.

Administrative Duties:

Support the Executive Director in special projects and day-to-day operations. Oversee daily office operations, including responding to inquiries and providing recommendations to visitors about local attractions and accommodations.

Qualifications: Experience in event planning, project management, or community engagement. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in tools such as MailChimp, Microsoft Office Suite, Apple products, and social media platforms. Familiarity with event management software and data analytics is a plus. A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Compensation:
