Location: St. Brendan, Bothell St. Brendan Catholic School is seeking teaching candidates for the 2025-2026 school year applicant pool. St. Brendan Catholic School is located in Bothell, WA (25 minutes from Seattle, WA). We have one class per grade in preschool through 8th grade with a total of 255 students. The mission of St. Brendan Catholic School, in partnership with parents and the parish community, is to educate and empower students to act as Disciples of Christ, pursue academic excellence, and serve the Church and global community. We have an active parent community as well as a supportive and engaging parish priest who enjoys spending time in the school. Our teacher candidates will work in collaboration with our dynamic, fun, and engaging elementary school staff.

Candidates must be practicing Catholics who are committed to sharing our Catholic faith with students and guiding students to achieve high academic standards. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree (preferably in education). A teaching certificate is preferred but we will consider highly motivated individuals who are in the process of obtaining a teaching certificate. Candidates should have good organizational and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a motivated and mission driven educator to be part of our supportive and faith-filled school community.

Successful candidates should:

1. Collaborate with principal in implementing the mission of the Parish and School. This is accomplished by participating in planning, implementation, and evaluation of the school's goals and objectives. The teacher is a member of the school staff and is a professional resource in designed educational specialties. Participates in regional and deanery collaborative efforts as approved and appropriate.

2. Assures the planning and implementation of instructional programs and activities that further the Catholic philosophy and goals of the school. The teacher insures that the classroom atmosphere fosters knowledge of the Catholic faith, development of appropriate ethical choices, Catholic faith development and Christian leadership, and integrates Gospel values in daily classroom activity.

3. Assures the selections and organization of curriculum and instruction materials. The teacher adapts methods and materials to accommodate learner difference and plans for both long term and short-term instructional goals.

4. Assures the development of a process for learning. This is accomplished by presenting a clear description of the learning task and its content. The teacher instructs students, monitors student understanding and reteaches when necessary.

5. Assures the evaluations of students' progress. This is accomplished through the interpretation of data and the monitoring of classroom performance. The teacher utilizes this information to improve the quality of instruction. The teacher maintains accurate and current individual records of the student's academic progress and shares this information with both the student and the parent.

6. Assures the creation and maintenance of a classroom environment that is conductive to learning. The teacher establishes and maintains appropriate behaviors and develops strategies to resolve conflict using the Positive Discipline and Love & Logic approach.

7. Assures effective oral and written communication with school administrator, fellow faculty members, parents and students. The teacher provides frequent and effective feedback concerning attainment of learning goals to students, parents, and principal.

8. Maintains current level of knowledge and skills required to effectively serve as teacher. Incumbent accomplishes this by keeping abreast of current issues, trends and concerns through attendance of seminars or classes, in-service training, workshops of subscriptions and/or through membership in local, state, or national professional organizations, as approved and as appropriate.

9. Complete all early childhood licensing requirements including STARS training.

10. Ability to successfully integrate technology into instruction

11. Implement student support plans (with guidance from our Teacher Assistance Team) that provide accommodations and modifications for students with different learning needs.

12. Encourage parents as the primary educators in faith of their children and support parents in this important responsibility.

13. Work toward (and eventually attain) the Seattle Archdiocese's catechetical certification.

14. Maintain all clearances with CICS and the Safe Environment Program.

15. Ability to teach online or in a hybrid model if necessary.

St. Brendan Catholic School is committed to attracting outstanding teachers with a competitive salary and benefits package. Salary : The salary range for this position is from $40,000-$75,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
