As the Director of Human Resources for Watts’ North American operations, you will lead the HR function for manufacturing and distribution sites across the region, including production, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, supply chain, sourcing, and EHS/Facilities. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources & Talent Acquisition – Americas, you will work onsite Monday–Friday and travel up to 25% to multiple sites. In this senior leadership role, you will shape the company’s HR vision, build a high-performance culture, and ensure compliance with industry regulations, supporting the organization’s growth and transformation.

You Will:

  1. Align HR initiatives with our operational goals, implementing workforce planning and employee engagement strategies.
  2. Develop and execute leadership development, training, and succession planning to build a robust talent pipeline.
  3. Collaborate with the broader HR organization to strengthen our culture and goals.
  4. Provide strategic and tactical support for employee relations, offering coaching and advice on people-related strategies.
  5. Analyze and report key operational HR metrics (turnover, retention, labor costs, headcount), fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  6. Partner with site teams to understand challenges, collect data, and recommend solutions related to employment laws and best practices.

Employee Relations & Organizational Development

  1. Foster a positive work environment through proactive employee relations and conflict resolution initiatives.
  2. Enhance productivity by aligning HR metrics with operational goals and partnering with operations leaders.
  3. Guide and support site HRBPs in addressing employee relation issues and implementing corrective action plans.
  4. Plan, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, and initiatives to meet manufacturing compliance and strategic HR needs.
  5. Create and analyze operational metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  6. Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, communicating regulatory changes to management and supporting staff development.

Compliance & Risk Management

  1. Proactively address HR-related risk management issues, including health and safety compliance.
  2. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and diverse working environment across all sites.

Performance Management & Succession Planning

  1. Lead the performance management process, aligning it with company goals and promoting continuous feedback.
  2. Identify leadership gaps and high-potential talent, implementing succession plans to ensure long-term organizational growth.

Coaching & Leadership Support

  1. Provide leadership coaching and professional development opportunities for high-potential team members.
  2. Collaborate with executives and management, offering insights on talent, culture, and organizational dynamics.

You Have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) strongly preferred.
  2. 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
  3. Knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, organizational development, and performance management.
  4. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  5. Experience in managing multiple sites/teams and driving organizational transformation.
  6. Willingness to work onsite Mon–Fri with up to 25% travel to various facilities. Work from home / hybrid arrangements will not be considered.

The expected salary range for this position is $158,000 to $183,000 yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
