We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our dynamic, team-oriented office located in Zionsville, Indiana. You will be the sole HR professional in the company, responsible for managing all aspects of HR. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the growth and development of our team.

Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding - Manage job postings, hiring processes, background checks, and onboarding.
- Compliance and Legal Requirements - Ensure adherence to labor laws, maintain employee records, and oversee workplace safety.
- Employee Relations - Mediate conflicts, foster open communication, and manage employee engagement initiatives.
- Policy Development and Enforcement - Create and update handbooks, enforce workplace policies, and adapt to legal changes.
- HR Strategy - Serve as an advisor to leadership on HR strategies and organizational development
- Performance Management - Implement review systems, coach managers, monitor employee development, and address underperformance.
- Culture and Engagement - Organize team-building activities, promote diversity and inclusion, and enhance internal communication.
- Re-branding Initiative - manage our re-branding and social media project with our marketing partner
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in Human Resources with generalist duties with at least 2 years in a management capacity.
- Experience in a small business or entrepreneurial setting is preferred.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR) is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Prior success implementing HR initiatives to drive talent attraction, development, and engagement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable compliance and labor laws.
- Demonstrated expertise training/coaching managers and employees.
- Attention to detail and good judgement.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient with HRIS software.
- Familiarity with social media and digital communication tools is a plus.
