Job Title: Mechanical Electrical/Quality Control Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee quality control operations on a federal construction project. The ideal candidate will have federal government contracting experience across diverse project types, including new construction, design-build, and building renovations. This role requires on-site presence during all physical work activities and involves managing the QC process to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Quality Control Leadership:
- Lead quality control initiatives, reviews, and corrective actions.
- Specification Compliance: Review and enforce compliance with project specifications through documentation, inspections, and approval processes.
- Submittals and Documentation:
- Review and track shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs.
- Maintain detailed records, including submittal logs, daily reports, inspection logs, and test results.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Conduct weekly QC meetings with the superintendent and team.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project quality and compliance.
- Testing and Commissioning: Oversee testing, commissioning of systems, and resolution of non-conformance issues.
- Inspection and Punch Lists:
- Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for all project phases.
- Document and resolve punch list items for final inspection.
- Project Closeout: Assemble project closeout documents, including as-builts, O&M manuals, and warranties.
Position Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years as a QC Manager for a contractor OR
- At least 5 years of combined experience in roles such as Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer on similar federal projects.
- NAVFAC/USACE Construction Quality Management practices.
- Certifications:
- Current Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certificate.
- 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Course (preferred).
- First Aid and CPR (preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with BIM coordination.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of federal construction laws, building codes, and industry standards.
- Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to solve problems and manage paperwork efficiently.
- Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with BIM coordination.
- 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Course.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
