As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you'll be expected to take charge in leading by example, delivering high-quality code, solving complex challenges, and setting a strong standard of engineering excellence for your team. Your role will include driving innovation, challenging the status quo, and striving to make continuous improvements across the board. We're looking for someone who can execute their own ideas, communicate effectively, and bring a passion for influencing the team's success.
Key Responsibilities: Work within an Agile development environment to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain technical solutions leveraging expertise in distributed microservices, big-data technologies (e.g., HIVE, Presto, Spark, Hadoop), and full-stack systems. Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and testing scenarios, providing technical solutions to meet those goals. Design and build an API platform capable of serving big data at interactive speeds, using AWS best practices and Well-Architected principles. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, experiment with new tools, and engage with internal and external tech communities to drive forward innovation. Exhibit strong leadership by demonstrating a growth mindset, taking ownership of projects, prioritizing customer needs, and applying sound judgment to decision-making. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering field. 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with demonstrated leadership capabilities. 7+ years of experience with at least one of the following technologies: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL. 2+ years of hands-on experience in Web UI development using technologies like jQuery, JavaScript, AngularJS, or similar frameworks. 2+ years of experience in REST/web services development and writing complex SQL queries against relational databases. 3+ years of experience working with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Presto). Proficiency in AWS technologies, including EMR Hive/Presto, ECS, Lambda, S3, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and CloudFormation. Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Unix Shell, Python, or Perl.
