Development Coordinator – Corporate, Industry and Foundation Grants
position involves securing grant revenue to support the mission of the organization. The role includes identifying, applying for, securing, and reporting on grant activities. Major Responsibilities : Grant/Proposal Identification, Research, and Writing : Managing the identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, recognition, and stewardship of grant funders. This includes conducting prospect research, preparing donor profiles, and managing the online grant submissions process. Cultivation/Stewardship of Grant and Sponsorship Pipeline : Developing and supporting relationships with institutional funders, ensuring proper execution of grant acknowledgment guidelines, and working with various departments to gather necessary information for proposals and grant reporting. General Foundation Support : Coordinating with colleagues at events, providing support for Foundation functions, and performing special projects as requested. Requirements : Education and Experience : A Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of related experience in non-profit fundraising and proposal/grant writing. Skills : Strong written communication, editing, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with fundraising software like SalesForce, Personify/TMSS, or Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge. General Competencies : Communication proficiency, time management, collaboration skills, personal effectiveness/credibility, flexibility, technical capacity, and thoroughness.
