In the role of Industrialization Engineer, you'll play a pivotal part on our Industrialization team.

This position contributes to our vision by:

Leading team members, providing solutions for Safran WWS industrialization deliverables on new programs/projects as part of the integrated program team. Developing and executing Industrialization plans, Transfer of Work projects, and site projects in accordance with standards and program goals. Coordinating and supporting production processes as required, new production lines and associated layouts, phased factory layout improvements, and operator training plans. Ensuring execution of the plan for design, manufacture, and implementation of new tools or prototypes from the tooling engineering teams. Creating, updating, and improving the production element of the industrial dossier, mainly Manufacturing Bill of Materials, Routers, and Standardized work instructions (including Takt times and lead times). Providing technical contribution to the Design and Manufacturing teams to develop optimal production processes. Analyzing and managing industrial processes and product risks of the projects. Providing feedback to the Design group for DFMA (design for manufacture and assembly) and proposing alternative designs. Maintaining industrialization metrics and communicating performance on a regular basis. Integrating Lean Six Sigma principles into your work. Knowing, understanding, and accurately applying regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and company specifications. Applying advanced concepts relating to manufacturability to engineering drawing and models. The role of the Industrialization Engineer is the project management of Safran WWS industrialization deliverables on new programs, Transfer of Work projects, and internal projects as part of the integrated program team. Performing all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education: BS in Industrial, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering. Experience: 6+ years. Computer Skills: Proficient with Windows Operating System, Office XP, AutoCAD. Knowledge of design software. Other Skills: Experience with airworthiness regulations & LEAN tools such as Valve Stream Mapping (VSM) “5S”. Advanced knowledge of pull systems, standardized work, and strong problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of primary processes like CNC machining, Layup and Crush Core. Strong knowledge of common materials and manufacturing processes used in the aerospace industry.
