About the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce The purpose of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce is to make the Greater Cheyenne area a more prosperous and quality community by being the voice of business; by advocating and promoting the Cheyenne area as a regional business center and by serving as a leader for community and economic growth. We're seeking a dynamic person to join our team at the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in recruiting new members, selling sponsorships, and enhancing member relations. Full-time (40 hours per week) exempt position with a competitive compensation plan, including salary and performance-based commissions. Overview of Primary Accountabilities – New Member Recruiting Ensures that the targets for new member revenue are met or surpassed through personalized sales efforts aimed at businesses and organizations that stand to gain from investing with the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce. Implement the Cheyenne Chamber’s standardized recruiting processes to drive new member revenue. Actively seek out and connect with prospective members to establish positive relationships with business owners and executive leaders. Assess the needs and motivations of prospective members and align them with Cheyenne Chamber programs and resources. Serve as liaison between prospective members and Cheyenne Chamber leadership. Maintain daily proactive outbound prospecting activities and meet performance goals. Overview of Primary Accountabilities – Member Relations Cultivate positive and professional relationships with designated members to underscore the value of their investment, fostering renewal each year, particularly those acquired by the incumbent. Implement the Cheyenne Chamber’s standardized member relations processes to foster positive relationships with assigned members. Engage in onboarding process for newly recruited members. Upsell current members to increase engagement and revenue. Maintain daily proactive member activities and meet performance goals. General Accountabilities Participate in Cheyenne Chamber meetings, events, and programs to cultivate member relations and engage with prospective members. Represent the Cheyenne Chamber at assigned business and community events. Prepare member sales and member relations reports as required. Must have/maintain a dependable vehicle and must provide proof of insurance and valid driver’s license upon request. Qualifications Ideally three or more years of experience in B2B business development, account management, sales, or related experience, demonstrating revenue-generating success. Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider combined education and work experience. Residency within the greater Cheyenne area required. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in CRM software, MS Word, and MS Excel. Ability to work independently and in team settings. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Requires ability to sit for extended periods. Professional office setting with interaction with staff and members. A positive attitude and professional presentation that reflects the values and image of the Chamber.
