Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Field & Shop Service)

Company is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our team. This position involves mobile field service and in-shop repairs of various types of construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, and other heavy machinery. Key Responsibilities:Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on construction equipment.
Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.
Conduct comprehensive inspections to identify potential issues and prevent future breakdowns.
Utilize diagnostic tools and technical manuals to determine necessary repairs.
Replace and rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and braking systems.
Perform welding and fabrication work as needed.
Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Provide on-site field service repairs and emergency breakdown support to customers.
Work independently and as part of a team to complete jobs efficiently and accurately.
Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and other team members regarding repair needs and progress.
Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (construction equipment preferred).
Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and powertrains.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Must have a valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).
Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and work in various outdoor conditions.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Must be willing to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
