About the Position: The Associate Professor of Finance teaches courses in undergraduate and graduate programs, conducts high-quality research, teaches effectively, and positively contributes to the academic environment. This is a full-time tenured position with benefits. Responsibilities: Conducts high-quality research for publication in top-tier academic journals; Teaches finance courses in undergraduate and/or graduate programs. The teaching load is determined according to the college’s workload policy; Additional responsibilities include service to the Finance area, the Costello College of Business, the University, and the profession, such as journal reviewing/editing, academic community engagement, student mentoring, committee membership, and interfacing with the business community. Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent in Finance; Five or more years of experience as a Finance faculty member; Demonstrated excellence in teaching; Stellar research record to support the rank of Associate Professor with sustained high-quality research in top-tier journals in the Finance area; Demonstrated leadership skills in both institutional and professional engagement; Collegiality and ability to work well with colleagues. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching online and face-to-face courses; Prior experience teaching and mentoring Ph.D. students; Successful grant-funded research.
