We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team at our Morris County, New Jersey location.
In this role, you will report to the CFO. As the Human Resources Manager, you will leverage your experience, technical and analytical abilities to manage HR activities, such as recruiting, onboarding, weekly payroll, benefit administration, compliance, workers compensation and leaves of absence administration.
The Human Resource Manager will partner with all levels of the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication, business knowledge and overall leadership skills are extremely important in this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: In addition to those listed above, the following duties and responsibilities are required:
- Main point of contact for employee relations matters
- Manage the planning, administration, implementation of HR initiatives
- Maintain employee policies & procedures
- Analyze and report on KPIs such as turnover, absenteeism, and productivity
- Maintain HRIS, payroll and timekeeping systems
- Ensure legal compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, EEO reporting, DOL surveys, etc.
- Nurture a positive working environment
- Advise management in HR policy and programs
- Facilitate benefit and insurance plans, open-enrollment, COBRA
- Administer leaves of absence, workers compensation
- Process weekly payroll, ensure payroll compliance
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- One (1) or more years HR experience
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now®
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written), ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Knowledge of state and federal labor laws
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Manufacturing experience
- SHRM-CP or similar a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong continuous improvement mindset and desire for action
- Experience creating and implementing HR policies and procedures
