reporting to the

Data Governance Manager.

This position will work on-site in Miramar, Florida and commute between Miramar and Miami office locations as required.

Position Summary:

The

Lead, Data Governance (Privacy)

is responsible for collaborating with a team of data governance, technology, and business stakeholders to support the implementation of data governance solutions in direct alignment with enterprise data privacy objectives. The ideal candidate for this role has a Data Governance, Data Privacy, and Data Compliance background with functional and technical expertise, developing robust data privacy solutions, ensuring compliance with global data protection regulations, and implementing data governance policies.

This candidate's objectives are to deliver expertise regarding data privacy solutions using standardized and best practice approaches with a strong project management foundation for executing data governance improvements. This candidate is expected to continually evolve internal functional requirements into documentation, procure process diagrams (pre/post), deployment processes and procedures, effectively manage a team of business stakeholders, and deliver projects on time and budget. This candidate is the key liaison between business and technology stakeholders from capturing business requirements to delivering data privacy solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Data Privacy Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs) with Legal's guidance to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. Provision Data Subject Rights (DSR) requests and serve as the point of contact for inquiries and complaints, including escalated legal requests. Ensure the company's record retention schedule is up to date by facilitating sessions with Legal and other key stakeholders, acquiring approvals, documenting decisions, and updating the master schedule. Facilitate the implementation of data retirement in systems to comply with the company's record retention schedule. Support the implementation of data and AI processes and solutions to comply with EU AI Act regulations. Ensure privacy by design directives are applied during new system architecture and design activities. Participate in the execution of records of processing activities led by the Legal team. Develop, implement, and maintain the Data Privacy roadmap and project plans, including the configuration management, risk management, project measurement, and quality management plans. 2. Data Analysis

Inventory data privacy issues and risks and propose mitigation plans, promoting improvement via lessons learned program. Analyze data and ensure it complies with the enterprise data governance framework and communicate insights to leadership with the goal to mature the framework. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets and represent results on dashboards and reports. Develop dashboards and reports using tools, transforming stakeholder requirements into visualizations. Audit implemented data governance solutions for continued adherence to data governance standards and processes. Create, document, maintain, and oversee data and AI governance standards, policies, and solutions specific to data privacy. Automate processes for enhanced business efficiency and data protection. 3. Data Stewardship

Collaborate with subcommittees to establish governance workflows, approvals, and deploy data privacy best practices. Champion the usage of approved metadata via training and knowledge-sharing sessions. Perform data analysis to identify and document data requirements and collaborate with business data stewards to understand the related business processes needs. Provide frequent status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders. Coordinate communications effectively amongst cross functional teams, resolve conflict, and maintain confidentiality. Qualifications:

Qualified candidates require the following education, certification, and experience:

BS Degree in Computer Science or Information Management. 5+ years of reporting or data analytics experience or experience working in a Data Analyst, Data Privacy or Compliance Analyst position. 3+ years in a role influencing data privacy decisions and solutions. Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and/or Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT) Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP) Qualified with Azure Cloud and Databricks technologies. Experience with a modern programming language, such as, Python. Excellent knowledge of SQL and visualization tools, such as, PowerBI. OneTrust Professional Certifications are a plus Skills:

Expert-level knowledge of global data privacy regulations (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPL, and more). Expert-level knowledge of data governance best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Expert-level data architecture background and knowledge of software development methodologies. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage conflicting priorities, multiple assignments and drive/coordinate project meetings Manage relationships with project vendors, monitor their progress and adherence to the contract. Strong understanding of project life cycle and project management methodologies (Waterfall and Agile) Possess excellent organizational, time management, judgment, and decision-making skills. Skilled at report creation, presentations, and verbal and written communication. Ability to operate effectively as part of a project team and individually. Flexibility to operate within multiple time zones.
