We are currently representing a prominent AIA-acclaimed architecture firm that is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join their Chicago team.


Position Overview: As a Project Architect, you'll help lead the architectural design and development of projects from concept to completion. Collaborate with clients, engineers, and contractors to deliver high-quality, functional, and aesthetically pleasing structures that make a difference in local communities and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Development: Spearhead the creation and evolution of architectural designs, ensuring compliance with client requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of the architectural project, from initial concept design through construction documentation to final inspection.
  • Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations, providing innovative design solutions and maintaining strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning laws, building codes, and accessibility standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Sustainability: Incorporate sustainable design principles and practices to create energy-efficient and environmentally responsible buildings.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Licensure: Licensure required, RA designation is a significant plus
  • Skills: Proficiency in architectural design software (Revit, Sketchup, InDesign, Procore, etc.), strong knowledge of building codes and regulations, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
