Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit a Plant & Process Engineer to join their team located near Great Plains, MT. Our client is a rapidly growing and this role is ideal for a process-focused engineer who thrives in a fast-paced plant environment, driving efficiency, optimizing workflows, and implementing best practices to enhance production operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization & Efficiency: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to maximize yield, reduce waste, and enhance overall plant performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement data-driven methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing, to drive process enhancements and reduce variability.
  • Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Diagnose operational inefficiencies, mechanical failures, and process bottlenecks to implement effective solutions.
  • P&ID & System Analysis: Develop, interpret, and maintain Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure accuracy and efficiency in plant operations.
  • Collaboration & Project Execution: Work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and quality teams to implement process improvements and support capital projects.


Required Skills:

  • Strong background in process engineering within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience optimizing production processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Proficiency in process flow analysis, troubleshooting, and equipment optimization.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Ability to interpret and develop P&IDs and other technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and present technical findings effectively.


Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience working in a plant or processing facility.
  • Familiarity with industrial-scale extraction, filtration, or similar processing systems.
  • At least 5 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial production.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • Equivalent hands-on experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
