Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for a Recruiting and HR Specialist to join their team. Our client is an award-winning commercial contractor based in Minneapolis that specializes in multi-family, mixed use, and hospitality projects.
As the Recruiting and HR Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the recruiting and HR processes and administration and will provide support to office, management, and staff. They are looking for someone early in their career with strong interest in recruiting and HR, a self-starter with a proactive, extroverted personality. Someone who is organized, responsive, collaborative and works well in a fast-paced, small-company environment.

About The Job:
Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for a Recruiting and HR Specialist to join their team. Our client is an award-winning commercial contractor based in Minneapolis that specializes in multi-family, mixed use, and hospitality projects.
As the Recruiting and HR Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the recruiting and HR processes and administration and will provide support to office, management, and staff. Key responsibilities:
Recruiting Support-
- Assist with full-cycle talent acquisition process, including posting, sourcing, scheduling, screening, and hiring qualified full-time, part-time, and seasonal/intern candidates.
- Manage recruiting activity and candidate information in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Prepare and maintain recruiting records and documents, including open position lists, position descriptions, job postings, and offers of employment.
- Represent the client at career fairs and other recruiting/networking events as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with external recruiting partners.
HR Support-
- Assist HR Director with annual and ongoing HR processes, including new hire orientation and onboarding, performance management, payroll and benefit administration, offboarding, and compliance.
- Coordinate and lead the summer internship program and onboarding.
- Assist with the organization and maintenance of employee records and HR files in SharePoint and our HR & Payroll system.
- Act as point of contact for HR, policy, benefit, and general employee questions, escalating items to management as needed.
- Track HR processes, provide metrics, and complete data entry as needed.
- Assist with general IT support, including monitoring ticket portal, tracking and managing inventory, and escalating issues.
- Assist with company events and provide back-up support to Office Coordinator as needed.
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED; 2-4 year degree in Human Resources or related degree a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years' recent relevant Recruiting/HR experience.
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
- Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Teams).
- Experience using HR & Payroll and Applicant Tracking Systems.
