Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer for onsite staff augmentation in Omaha, NE. The selected candidate will support network infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and assist with IT operations in a dynamic environment. This role requires a hands-on professional with experience in network engineering and strong problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot network devices including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance and implement improvements as needed. Collaborate with internal IT teams to support day-to-day network operations. Ensure network security and compliance with industry best practices. Provide documentation and reports on network performance and troubleshooting activities. Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in network engineering or IT infrastructure support. Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.). Experience with enterprise-grade networking hardware (Cisco, Fortinet, or similar). Ability to diagnose and resolve network issues in a timely manner. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent). Experience working in an enterprise IT environment. Knowledge of cloud networking and security best practices. Compensation:
