Training and Development Manager:
C.N.A. Program
Cobble Hill Health Center, an industry-leading nursing facility located in the upscale neighborhood of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, is recruiting for a new position to lead the design and development of a CNA program to deliver a world-class program for the CNA role within a Skilled Nursing Environment.
Recognizing the Certified Nursing Assistants role is crucial and holds the greatest influence over the resident and patient experience, we want to develop a training, service, and development program to hire and retain the very best CNAs and position Cobble Hill Health Center as both the Employer of Choice and Skilled Nursing Facility of choice in our area.
Development of this program will involve researching current best-in-class CNA practices, including organizational structure, job roles, recognition and rewards, incentive programs, performance management systems and other aspects of people, resident, and patient care systems.
A multi-year development and a phased program implementation is the likely path and thus will require both a short and longer-term approach in achieving the desired outcome.
The development and implementation of the program will also include ongoing, hands-on leadership to ensure the long-term success of the program. Collaborating and building support among leadership and key staff members will help ensure the success of the program.
This role will require a combination of strategic thinking and planning, project management, and deep expertise in CNA practices. This role has the full support of the organization, and we are seeking a dynamic leader who can lead and help us with this strategic goal.
Qualifications:
- Clinical background preferred
- Background as a CNA or RN instructor desired
- Experience with designing and developing clinical programs
- Demonstrates and uses patience with staff members in delivering training, observations, and coaching feedback sessions, keeping in mind the goal of developing exceptional CNAs who deliver exceptional care and service to residents and family members
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
