Are you looking to lead one of the best transit agencies in the nation? The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Agency (SORTA) is looking for its next CEO. SORTA is in excellent financial shape with a recent voter approved sales tax levy and has growing ridership since COVID-19. SORTA serves Hamilton County and its 829,000 residents, including the City of Cincinnati. SORTA operates Cincinnati METRO, which serves Hamilton County residents along with Clermont, Butler, and Warren counties. Services include a fixed-route bus service, access paratransit, and MetroNow! on demand services. The CEO provides visionary leadership across all operational, financial, safety and strategic initiatives. The CEO is responsible for driving growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and overseeing the effective management of budget and resources. A dynamic and strategic leader, the CEO must possess strong political acumen, financial expertise, and a proven ability to foster collaboration with community leaders and stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related degree or equivalent years of work experience is required. At least fifteen (15) years progressively responsible management experience preferable in a large urban public transportation system, including five years of experience at the executive level management.
