Are you looking to lead one of the best transit agencies in the nation? The Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Agency (SORTA) is looking for its next CEO. SORTA is in excellent financial shape with a recent voter approved sales tax levy and has growing ridership since COVID-19.
SORTA serves Hamilton County and its 829,000 residents, including the City of Cincinnati. SORTA operates Cincinnati METRO, which serves Hamilton County residents along with Clermont, Butler, and Warren counties. Services include a fixed-route bus service, access paratransit, and MetroNow! on demand services.
Responsibilities:
Provide visionary leadership across all operational, financial, safety, and strategic initiatives. Drive growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee the effective management of budget and resources. Foster collaboration with community leaders and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related degree or equivalent years of work experience. At least fifteen (15) years progressively responsible management experience preferable in a large urban public transportation system, including five years of experience at the executive level management.
