Senior IP Network Engineer

Job Overview: We are looking for a

Senior IP Network Engineer

to support a

Juniper-based EVPN/VXLAN fabric

that delivers

Layer 2 and Layer 3 services

across a highly scalable network. The role involves working with

Juniper MX and QFX5K series devices , which serve as

leaf nodes and VTEP termination points

within the fabric. The ideal candidate will be a

team player, self-driven, and capable of thinking outside the box

while ensuring network performance, automation, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain

a

Juniper EVPN/VXLAN fabric

supporting both

L2 and L3 services . Configure and optimize BGP

for scalable

service provider routing

across Juniper

MX routers . Implement and troubleshoot VXLAN & spanning-tree

across

QFX5K switches

in a multi-tenant data center environment. Manage and support VTEP terminations

on both

MX and QFX platforms . Automate network tasks

using

Ansible

to improve operational efficiency. Deploy and maintain authentication and security policies

via

TACACS . Monitor network performance and health

using

SNMP and logging tools . Collaborate with security teams

to integrate

Juniper SRX or NGFW solutions

into the fabric. Provide Tier 3 escalation support

for critical network issues and outages. Required Qualifications:

5+ years

of experience in

IP networking, BGP, and service provider routing . Strong expertise in EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, and advanced switching

(spanning-tree, VXLAN overlays). Hands-on experience with Juniper MX routers, QFX5K switches, and SRX firewalls . Experience with Ansible automation

for network configuration and provisioning. Proficiency in SNMP, logging tools, and TACACS authentication management . Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude . Preferred Qualifications:

Juniper certifications

(e.g., JNCIP, JNCIE in Data Center or Service Provider). Familiarity with multi-vendor network automation frameworks . Experience with next-generation firewalls and microsegmentation . Areas of Responsibility (AOR):

Network Operations:

Maintain and optimize EVPN/VXLAN services. BGP & Routing Management:

Configure and troubleshoot BGP and L3 services. Automation & Monitoring:

Manage Ansible playbooks, SNMP, and logging tools. Security & Firewalls:

Support SRX/NGFW implementations. Incident Resolution:

Provide Tier 3 support for network escalations. Collaboration & Documentation:

Work with cross-functional teams and maintain network documentation.
