Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
Prepare and fit metal components for assembly, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
Perform MIG welding on structural steel and other materials with precision and quality.
Inspect welds and finished products to ensure they meet structural and safety standards.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize workflow.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
Utilize various hand tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Complete required documentation and reporting related to production and safety.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding program is preferred.
Proven experience as a welder and fitter, especially in structural applications.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques and safety practices.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks.
