Job Title: Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer (COO) Location: United States (Remote) About PawaStats: PawaStats is a pioneering tech startup on a mission to empower African startups, SMBs, and enterprises with AI-driven data analytics that optimize decision-making, boost operational efficiency, and drive sustainable growth. Our flagship product, PawaSocial, is a comprehensive social, media, and customer intelligence platform designed to transform raw data into actionable insights. We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Co-Founder & COO to join our founding team and lead the operational execution of our ambitious vision. Role Overview: As the Co-Founder & COO, you will be instrumental in transforming PawaStats’ vision into reality. You will drive the operational strategy, scale our business, and oversee day-to-day operations while collaborating closely with our technical and marketing teams. Your leadership will be key in building robust processes, securing strategic partnerships & fundraising, managing budgets, and ensuring the smooth execution of our growth initiatives—both in the US and across emerging markets. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Develop and implement operational strategies and processes that support rapid growth and scalability. Oversee daily operations across product development, marketing, sales, and customer success, ensuring cross-functional collaboration. Establish performance metrics (KPIs, OKRs) and use data-driven insights to optimize operational efficiency. Strategic Planning & Execution: Work alongside the CEO and founding team to refine PawaStats’ vision, product roadmap, and go-to-market strategy. Drive execution of strategic initiatives, including market expansion, product enhancements, and operational improvements. Fundraising & Investor Relations: Play a key role in investor readiness by preparing operational plans and strategic proposals for funding rounds. Leverage your network to facilitate introductions to potential investors, partners, and stakeholders. Partnership & Ecosystem Development: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key players in the tech ecosystem, both in the US and internationally. Develop collaborative relationships with local SMB associations, tech incubators, and industry influencers, particularly in emerging markets. Team Building & Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing operational team that aligns with our company culture. Foster an environment of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across all functions. Financial Oversight: Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and financial planning to ensure cost-effective operations. Implement financial controls and reporting mechanisms to monitor business performance and operational costs. Qualifications: MBA from a top-tier business school with a strong academic record. Minimum of 5 years of senior operational experience in tech startups or high-growth companies. Demonstrated track record of scaling operations, optimizing processes, and driving strategic initiatives in a dynamic environment. Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on approach. Excellent strategic and analytical thinking, with proven ability to translate vision into actionable plans. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills; able to build relationships with investors, partners, and team members. Familiarity with AI, data analytics, and digital transformation trends. Experience in global market expansion, particularly in emerging markets, is highly desirable. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a commitment to empowering African SMBs.
