Search Solution Group is seeking a
Staff Accountant
on behalf of our client, the world's largest equipment rental company. This entry-level accounting role is essential in supporting the company's financial operations, with a focus on inventory reconciliations, lease accounting, and annual physical inventory processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong Excel skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial reporting and inventory tracking.
Key Responsibilities: Perform inventory reconciliations and assist in resolving discrepancies
Support lease accounting activities in accordance with applicable standards
Participate in the annual physical inventory process, including tracking and documentation
Maintain accurate records and prepare journal entries as needed
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare reports and schedules for internal use and audit purposes
Utilize Excel to analyze and organize financial data
Collaborate with internal departments to support accounting operations and ensure process efficiency
Support special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as assigned
Requirements include:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Experience: 0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance; internships or related experience preferred Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability
Certifications: None required; CPA track or progress is a plus Knowledge: Basic understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
Familiarity with lease accounting and inventory management concepts is preferred
Key Competencies: Accuracy and accountability in financial documentation
Team collaboration and communication
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment
