Sr. Battery Engineer (2461)
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the battery related technology activities across the department.
- Be responsible for the overall monitoring of the batteries regarding health / status.
- Define and implement BMS and power electronic platforms based on company strategy.
- Solve system based issues in the overall battery backed system integration.
- Work with the HW and other key teams to ensure the functionality of the battery design & technology are at the capabilities needed to be effective.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field; electrical, software / computer science, information engineering or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years working within a related/ identical field preference would be 8 years.
- Proficient in at least 1 of the following: C/ C++/ python / R or similar coding languages.
- Hands on experience working with battery testing, not just simulation based.
- Battery research capabilities and design experience.
- Must understand battery charge/discharge mechanism and estimation of battery states algorithms.
- Architectural platform expertise.
- Previous experience working in a battery design / architecture role – EV/ battery storage / consumer electronics.
- Mandarin bi-lingual
