VP Portfolio Manager – C&I and Middle Market

Location: Houston, TX

Our client, a large regional bank with a strong presence in Houston, is seeking a VP Portfolio Manager for its C&I and Middle Market group. This role is responsible for underwriting and managing middle market transactions ranging from $10M to $75M+, as well as maintaining relationships within the existing portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and structure middle market commercial loans
• Perform credit analysis, risk assessment, and financial modeling
• Monitor portfolio performance and manage credit quality
• Work with relationship managers on client needs and portfolio strategy
• Participate in client meetings and support relationship development

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial loan underwriting
• Formal credit training required
• Experience with middle market transactions
• Strong financial analysis and risk assessment skills
