Job Summary

To support the growth of MSC Air Cargo, we are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on

Planning Manager

who will be responsible for the long-term planning of our network and fleet deployment. They will analyze and develop efficient flight routing and aircraft rotations reducing cost and providing better solutions to our customers wherever possible. They will also coordinate all flight scheduling with our ACMI partners and internal stakeholders.

This position will be based in New York (USA) and will report to the Head of Network Operations, Planning & ACMI. This is a hybrid position that will require in-officework.

Key ResponsibilitiesIn coordination with the commercial team control the monthly network planning cycle ensuring that schedule is developed, submitted, and communicated in accordance with contractual deadlines and departmental expectations.Analyse, evaluate and recommend adjustments of aircraft deployment to ensure schedule integrity and aircraft resource optimization while maximizing revenue potential and/or minimizing cost.Initiate and monitor traffic rights, landing/overflight approvals and airport slot applications in coordination with ACMI.Coordinate new routings with internal and external stakeholders to conduct research on availability of traffic rights, existing competition, and airport constraints.Develop a medium-term network plan for the current and upcoming schedule period: make recommendations on destinations and flight frequencies to reduce cost.Assist in developing a long term (3-5 year) network and fleet plan.Participate in collaborative decision-making processes with all stakeholders and provide cross departmental support where required.Manage various projects as requested by Head of Network, Planning & ACMI And SVP cargo from project pre planning through change management implementation.Collaborating with other departments and leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.Periodic review of network, individual routes and or stops to ensure revenue and costs in line with forecast.Manage schedule changes.Manage monthly network planning cycle.Research and propose new routes and or stop, including building and presenting business case to members of MSC Air Management Leadership team.Monitor rotational revenue and projected profit at individual and composite rotation levels.Communicate schedule adjustments to MSC Air Cargo internal stakeholders.Assist in long term fleet and network planning.Lead project teams when and where directed.Qualifications & Key Competencies
