Job Description
Responsibilities will include the following:
Procurement Coordinator Level III is responsible for performing sourcing activities on large industrial capital projects.
Procurement Coordinator may also be assigned to sourcing events for standard and medium criticality materials, equipment, and subcontracts.
They also support complex purchasing activities for more complex materials, equipment and subcontracts within the realm of the Procurement Coordinator III position, as needed.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for execution (purchase) of Early Procurement pre-mobilization checklist itemsResponsible for sourcing activities for both estimating support on projects in the Deal Development phase and ProcurementExecution activities during the life cycle of a project from RFP solicitations through the Award phasePerform commercial analyses of Bidders proposals, conduct supplier negotiations, writing and submitting recommendations of award and leading Bidder conferences.Engaging and maintaining Supplier relationships on awarded contracts, communicating with key internal and external stakeholders and maintaining overall transparency with the Project Management Team (PMT)Participation in Deal Development and support in estimating efforts including issuing Request for Information (RFI's)Perform evaluation of proposals and coordinate discussions between bidders and technical personnelMaintain an understanding of the standard contract terms and conditions and contract formationNegotiate with suppliers to obtain the overall best deal and risk profile for the enterpriseParticipate in Supplier and subcontractor kick-off and close-out meetingsDevelop scopes of work and negotiate contract change orders and amendmentsMaintain knowledge in specific IT support systems (Oracle, PPMS, Document Control)Participate in weekly procurement meetingDevelop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, engineers, construction management, and essential project personnelManage workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment focused on standard complex technical items with opportunities towards more complex high-profile items as experienced is gained and stronger skills are demonstratedLead in procurement execution for standard and medium criticality sourcing events, conduct research & development sourcing strategies, develop supplier list and sourcing strategies, as well as performance-based scopes of work and understand specifications and drawing packages from RFP through the Award phaseDeal Development phase estimating support from receipt of proposal through proposal submittalMaintain knowledge of procurement processes and procedures and execute in accordance with Zachry SOP'sInterface and manage relationships with Suppliers, Engineering, and Construction Management personnelTravel to project site as needed to participate in Supplier kick-off, closeout and clarification meetings (15% or less)Other duties as assignedQualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or a diploma with equivalent working experience in lieu of a degree.High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 3-5 years of related experienceMust have the ability to work independently, think and plan ahead and bring issues to attention of management.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, detail oriented and provide accurate work productsExperience using Microsoft Office Productivity tools (Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) (preferred)Experience creating document templates and workflows in industry digital document approval platforms like DocuSign and Adobe Sign would be beneficialSome travel may be necessary 25% or less (when required)Preferred large industrial construction procurement experiencePrefer experience in multiple industrial market sectorsPrior experience interfacing with client and engineering entities preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, use of arm/hand steadiness, manual dexterity, finger dexterity, multi limb coordination, oral expression, and comprehension. May be required to lift, carry and move objects safely.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work will be in a conservative corporate office environment operating and functioning at a fast pace. Working out of cubicles near other various colleagues who are also in cubes. Some may refer to these workspaces as cube farms. Our corporate campus includes an on-site caf with various daily breakfast, lunch and snack-time selections, a sizeable fitness center equipped with various state of the artwork out equipment & weights, outdoor walking/jogging-path, herb garden, basketball half-court, sand-volleyball court, soccer field, as well as a clinic with a certified nurse practitioner. Office noise will be low and generally consist of cube neighbors' phone-calls, conversations and/or laughter. You can expect people to treat you with friendliness and respect throughout the Zachry campus.
