Duties and Responsibilities:
Programs AV control processors, touch panels, routers, audio digital signal processors (DSP) and other peripherals to support instructional technology in the classrooms.
Sets priorities and serves as the lead for media and AV projects. Participates in and manage all phases of a project from concept to system implementation and user training.Performs general installation, device configuration, and programming of control systems. Provides programming and graphic touch panel interface layouts for integrated audiovisual systems using various source code.Conducts in-house system testing, validation, and preparations for installation.Interprets requirements and block diagrams, implements user interfaces and writes control code to control various types of AV and multimedia control system equipment.Designs or fabricates connection systems for multimedia facilities. Completes design, prepares required drawings, diagrams, layouts, power requirements, air flow and temperature requirements.Installs and specifies cabling systems, wires, control systems, cables, and media equipment related to complex technical and electronic equipment. Configures multimedia equipment for correct operation.Analyzes technical problems with multimedia systems and equipment and perform major repairs.Performs technical set-up for video, audio and multi-image presentations and provides technical support. Sets up, troubleshoots, and repairs media systems and equipment.Researches and recommends multimedia materials, equipment, and hardware systems used in support of educational and administrative programs as they exist or evolve. Recommends replacement of existing equipment, software, and hardware.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Required Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree and two years related experience ORAssociates degree and four years related experienceKnowledge of:
Microsoft Office Professional or similar applicationsNetworking conceptsCrestron control systems programmingPA systems, AV control systems, and multimedia systemsSkilled in:
