Capitol Advisors on Technology is currently in search of a Records Management Specialist 2 to support our client, the Environmental Protection Agency, in Lenexa, Kansas.

The mission of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is to protect human health and the environment. EPA works to ensure that Americans have clean air, land, and water. National efforts reduce environmental risks that are based on the best available scientific information. Federal laws protecting human health and the environment are administered and enforced fairly, effectively, and as Congress intended.

The Records Information Manager III / Project Manager position requires a thorough knowledge of an office's work and routine to: 1) plan, organize, direct, and coordinate records management by the records center, and 2) provide records and information management procedures and deliverables, planning and program development, analysis of records and information problems and design of strategies and procedures to meet evolving records management needs.

The Record Information Manager III / Project Manager position is responsible for supervising and training staff, producing quality work, meeting due dates for deliverables, and maintaining effective client relations. This position serves as the primary point of contact to EPA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Record Information Manager III / Project Manager position’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Day-to-day operation of the Records Center. Supervision of staff, quality control and interaction with TOCORs and customers.

· Responsible for quality assurance measurements, tracking and submission of Task Order deliverables, and shall be available to provide the EPA with status of on-going work.

· Training of contractor staff on new systems and procedures as electronic technology continues to change.

· Serve as a subject matter expert on the use of virtual spaces for document management, digital document compilation and processing, and management of complex digital collections.

· The PM shall designate a stand-in PM in the event that he/she is not available. The stand-in PM shall be available to assist on all contractual matters.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

The successful candidate must

· Minimum of a college degree and familiarity with records and other information services programs.

· Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.

· Possess excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing

· Have proficiency in using technology, specifically with Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite

1. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher Federal security clearance for the duration of employment.
