**COVID-19 Procedures:
On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however rotating on-site support at PAX will be required 1-2 weeks per month. Occasional evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching is required. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.
Essential Functions:
Perform administration of SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Service Broker, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services
Ensure system availability, data integrity; monitor/troubleshoot backup and recoveries, performance, disk space, and network connectivity
Design and modify database objects (tables, schemas, indexes, and triggers); create/alter stored procedures and views
Implement and operate SQL Server Services running on physical stand alone and clustered servers, and Virtual Machine environments
Occasional daily/evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching is required
Other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
BS/BA OR AA/AS degree OR HS and 2 years related experience.
SQL server database administration experience required
Experience developing database objects such as stored procedures, triggers, constraints, and indexes required
Experience in performance tuning and query optimization required
CompTIA Security+ certification required. Advance certification CASP or CISSP acceptable.
Security Clearance:
Active TS/SSBI clearance desired or active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.
Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education:
BS/BA OR AA/AS degree OR HS and 2 years related experience.
