**COVID-19 Procedures:
On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however occasional on-site support at PAX may be required 1-2 days per week. Occasional evening/weekend support for upgrades/patching is required. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.
Essential Functions:
Install, configure, upgrade, and administer SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Service Broker, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services
Ensure system availability, data integrity; monitor/troubleshoot backup and recoveries, performance, disk space, and network connectivity
Provide troubleshooting and support for database instances in dedicated and multi-node clustered SQL Server environments
Design and modify database objects (tables, schemas, indexes, and triggers); create/alter stored procedures and views
Occasional daily/evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching is required
Other duties as assigned or required
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
SQL Server 2014/2016 database administration experience required
Experience developing database objects such as stored procedures, triggers, constraints, and indexes required
Experience in performance tuning and query optimization required
CompTIA Security+ certification required (must show proof of cert prior to interview)
Security Clearance:
Active TS/SSBI clearance desired or active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI.
Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
Education:
BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.
