ISEI Staffing is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist for an exciting opportunity in Waimea, Hawaii. As a team member, you will provide direct psychiatric care to patients referred for psychiatric care, focusing on outpatient management at our client's Primary Care Clinic.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of programming for patients with mental illness, substance abuse or dependence, and the Severely Disabled Mentally Ill (SDMI) populations.
Contribute to the further development of telepsychiatry programs.
Function as a consultant to other clinical staff.
Conduct in-service education programs for clinical staff as needed.
Act as an advocate and clinical liaison for the clinic/department.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Perform ambulatory psychiatric assessments.Develop, review, and update patient ambulatory treatment plans, assessing progress toward treatment plan goals.Provide medication management for patients in need of psychiatric outpatient care.Complete all necessary documentation as required by clinic policy to meet regulatory agency requirements.Consult with patients' primary care providers to coordinate medication and treatment issues, direct and negotiate treatment plan changes, and provide documentation of the coordination of care in the medical record.Provide inpatient consults when available.Perform other clinical duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or ECFMG certification.Current board certification in Psychiatry. If not board certified, board certification must be obtained within five (5) years from the date of completion of residency or fellowship training.Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Hawaii.Shall be and remain a member of the medical staff in good standing with appropriate privileges without restriction during the period of employment.Qualified for an appointment on the faculty of the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine, preferred.
