Gridiron IT is seeking a Jr. Network Engineer local to Rome, NY with an active Secret clearance.
Perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment.Provide assistance and oversight for information systems operations activities, including computer and telecommunications/communications operations, data entry, data control, network administration and operations support, operating systems programming, system security policy procedures, and/or web strategy and operations. Supports network operations, systems security, systems software support, and production support activities.Monitor and respond to hardware, software, and network problems.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Secret security clearance requiredHigh School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree PreferredMinimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Network EngineerSecurity+ certification or equivalent requiredCisco Certified Network Associate requiredSkills and abilities:
Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with a high energy level and willingness to aggressively take on responsibilityWorking knowledge of 802.1x, RADIUS, AAA, , Cisco ISE, Cisco Wireless, Palo Alto.
