Atego HighRely is currently searching for a Software Test Engineer. Please note this position is a 6 month contract position with the possibility of substantial extension.
Purpose:
The Software Test Engineer will verify the design and validate the implementation of software supplied to ensure it meets and/or exceeds the specified expectations. Additionally, the Software Test Engineer will develop comprehensive functional test procedures to confirm that the product behaves as expected with reference to specific documented software requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
Knowledge in working with Automotive CAN bus protocolExperience with automotive serial communications; including vehicle messaging and diagnostic service implementationsKnowledge of Vector CAN Tech products (CANoe or CANalyzer)Experience with a requirements management tool - DOORS (by Telelogic)Ability to read and interpret product specifications and software requirement specificationsKnowledge of fundamental programming concepts to aid understanding of product specification and to drive initiatives to automate testsExcellent communication and documentation skillsExperience in developing test cases, defect reporting, automated test scripts.Skills & Requirements
Additional Responsibilities Include
Create comprehensive functional automated and manual test procedures to verify that the product behaves as specified and will perform reliably in the fieldDevelop, document, and execute software test procedures prior to releasing any software
The selected engineer will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Being able to communicate and work well in a team environment is critical to success. If you are selected for this position, you will be offered a VERY competitive hourly rate.
