Hybrid Onsite: 3 days onsite per week from Day1
SUMMARY/OBJECTIVEThis position is responsible for serving as:1. the
USF collection and 498 experts
for accurately processing daily collections and processing
Form FCC 498 ; or2. the
USF billing expert
for accurately monitoring billing data and producing monthly invoices for
USF contributions driven by both FCC Form 499-A and FCC Form 499-Q submissions by telecommunications companies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe
Senior Contributor Operations Specialist will either focus on the area of Collections or BillingSupports or owns process improvements through analysis, audit, and research designed to identify changes.Research and analyze payment or contributor disputes and provide the appropriate resolution.Monitor monthly invoices, collections, and Form 498 data for large anomalies or trends that identify potential errors or fraud.Conduct an independent review of inputs and FCC Filings providing results to management and coordinating outreach with the team.Develop requirements, user acceptance test plans, and work with IT team on system enhancements.Serves as a potential contact for customer escalations.Provide training to Customer Service staff as needed regarding changes to collections or billing practices.Performs data analysis and delivers timely reports, graphics, and presentations aligned with business needs to team members and management.Review and analyze contributor accounts for non-compliance and enforcement follow-up.Create advanced "Ad hoc" reports.Understands federal laws and regulations regarding USF, telecommunications and other related business/operational areas
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant technical training.Five (5) to Seven (7) years of directly related experienceOne (1) to Two (2) years of operational and/or technical experienceStrong technical, analytical and problem solving skillsStrong working background in Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to handle a large variety of details and to work with all levels of the organizationStrong communication skills (both written and verbal)
