Job Description
ISN is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our accounting team to perform a variety of accounting and administrative duties. We are looking for an energetic, self-starting, organized, detail-oriented candidate with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring that financial and accounting activities are properly managed and in compliance with government contracting procedures. These activities include, but not limited to: processing semi-monthly payments to independent contractors, reviewing payroll for accuracy and Payroll entries, contract administration, and preparing month-end journal entries. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for monthly billings in CostPoint and submission to customers. Maintains account reconciliations, and conducts financial analysis activities as needed. This position reports to Controller.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and process monthly billings ensuring accuracy and timeliness of assigned projects and submission to customers.Set up new contracts and update projects including modification in CostPoint as neededWork with Contracts and Programs teams related to new contracts and/or billingsResponsible for processing and submitting semi-monthly independent contractors' payments in our payroll vendor's siteServer as a backup for semi-monthly payroll, including importing timesheets from Deltek to CostPointMaintain monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliationsPrepare recurring, adjusting, and semi-monthly payroll entriesServe as a backup for Wire and ACH transactionsSet up new hires and give access to projects and import information to DeltekServe as a backup with assisting employees with expense reports as neededCoordinate with BizFilings regarding registration of company with tax agencies in a new state as applicable and filling annual report with the appropriate states.Any other accounting and financial duties as requiredQualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited institutionA minimum of 3 years
