Sanford Health's multi-subspecialty pathology group is seeking an AP/CP Board Certified, subspecialty fellowship-trained pathologist for a 1.0 FTE position. Fellowship training in GU, GI, Head & Neck, or Breast pathology preferred, but other areas will be considered. Outstanding schools, a vibrant business community, a thriving downtown district, cultural activities, and a wide variety of sports and recreation are just a few of the many reasons people love to call the Fargo area home.Job DescriptionPathology Core Privileges include the ability to provide consultation to diagnosis, rule out, and monitor disease using information microscopic examination of tissue specimens, cell samples, and body fluids, as well as from clinical laboratory tests on body fluids and secretions in a lab setting. After analyzing lab tests and interpreting the results, pathologists inform other physicians of the patient's results.QualificationsM.D. or D.O. degree. Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways and should be reflective of the privileges being requested: An applicant who has just completed a residency shall provide his/her residency log. OR An applicant who is not applying directly out of a residency shall provide a quality profile from hospital, clinic or laboratory where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity and quality data from the last 12 months. More education and experience may be required the more advanced the practice becomes.Successful completion of a Pathology residency program in clinical and/or anatomic pathology that is accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada. Training at residency programs accredited by organizations other than the above, may be considered via the waiver of eligibility process as defined in the Credentialing Policy. Applicant must have certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
