The

vCTO/Network Administrator

will proactively design, implement and maintain comprehensive best practice assessments using an RSC (risk, security, & compliance) management toolset for all client systems, asset management, and documentation. Your daily responsibilities will include the following:

Creates technical best practices and conducts ongoing client assessments to determine alignment/misalignment.Establishes and implements best practices, ultimately reducing ticket creation by working with and in front of the service desk.Schedules onsite monthly client visits and retains ownership of the RSC assessment tool, scheduling and performing assessments, and aligning clients with best practices. Prepares for technology steering meetings in collaboration with the vCIO.Assists and maintains documentation, configuration changes, and technology remediation in collaboration with the client onboarding team.Looks for automation and process improvements to improve service desk efficiency by reducing ticket counts and proactively addressing user needs.Works closely with centralized services, auditing and reviewing RMM configuration and performing security/compliance remediation as needed.Serves as a service desk escalation point, particularly when onsite field services are required, and acts as the technical subject matter expert for clients managed. Overflow assistance for the service desk.Leads the creation and upkeep of technical documentation, process documentation, and knowledge base content. Develops and maintains client network knowledge, including:

Hardware and software inventoriesMaintaining Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Network DiagramsBasic understanding of Line of Business (LOB) applications and associated vendors

Performs regular onsite services

Validates centralized services- Check server/network health, monitoring,Provide field-service technical support for user issuesDevelop relationship with client point of contact and key usersAdvises on and performs implementation of new technologyOnsite proactive services

Requirements for the Network Administrator

A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred; work related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree3-5 years of

similar Network Administrative experienceWide service desk experience , preferably with a managed services provider (MSP)Experience Supporting and Creating Group PoliceExperience with VPNs, LAN/WAN/WLAN and desktop supportVendor Management experience including application support, print, and phone system triageExperience with access control and security incident response and remediationDesktop Moves Adds Changes Decommissions (MACDs) including creation and deployment of new images

Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:

Experience working with a Managed services provider (MSP) having served multiple SMB clients where support is provided for server/systems on a Microsoft AD domain, network, storage, desktop, O365 email, with security requirements; or equivalent experience leading support for a small but complex environment.

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Dallas Texas Metroplex area.
